Local CraftWe will have a unique experience visiting old workshops in Florence. The City preserves “Botteghe” within its walls where you can find old craftsmen who have remained faithful to the ancient crafts, although in some cases with more modern tools. We will visit the famous “Santa Maria Novella Pharmacy” one of the oldest and most beautiful pharmacies in the world, where Caterina de’ Medici commissioned the famous “Aqua de Regina”. Visit the goldsmiths on the Ponte Vecchio, where you can admire exquisitely crafted pieces. Continue on to the Church of Santa Croce with its adjacent Monastery which houses the ancient “Leather school” commissioned by the Medici family. Here it is possible to admire the different phases of leather crafting as shown by expert craftsmen.
